Updated December 1, 2017
The OpenSign Java applet is withdrawn as of November 30, 2017
Going forward, logon with NemID employee signature as code file and NemID on hardware will not involve Java installed on the user's computer. The reason is, among other things, that Firefox and Chrome browsers no longer support Java.
The OpenSign Java applet must be replaced with the new NemID CodeFile client
As a NemID Service Provider, you must migrate from the old OpenSign Java applet to the new NemID CodeFile client.

Migrate to the new NemID CodeFile client – that’s all you need to do
As a NemID Service Provider you must migrate and after that you don’t need to do anything.
In the document End-user experience by migration from OpenSign applet to NemID CodeFile client (v1.3, 2017.01.17) you can read when and how the effect of the migration is experienced by end-users.
Information to end-users is available in Danish: Introduktion til Java-fri NemID og NemID Nøglefilsprogram - FAQ >
Important, that you migrate to the new NemID CodeFile as soon as possible
If you don't, users will not be able to log on to your service with NemID employee signature as code file and NemID on hardware. After November 30, 2017 the OpenSign Java applet cannot be obtained from opensign.danid.dk.
