You can only use NemID employee signature as code file and NemID on hardware with browsers that support the addition of NemID Nøglefilsprogram as browser extension. In the table below you can see which combinations of operating systems and Internet browsers that support NemID Nøglefilsprogram (NNP).

Edge (Windows 10 default browser) can - for the time being - not be used with NNP.
Safari (Mac OS X default browser) can not be used with NNP.

Companies that do not allow their employees to install software on employee Windows PCs must distribute the new NemID Nøglefilsprogram centrally from their IT department. Read about central control of NemID software (in Danish) >
Java
Since November 30, 2017 login and signing with NemID does not involve Java installed on the user's computer.
Thus, the installation af Java is not required for using NemID employee signature as code file or NemID on hardware.
