Since the launch in January, the app is dominating Norwegian app stores and has been downloaded more than 1 million times. It is one of the most successful loyalty launches in the Nordic countries both in terms of volume and speed of adoption. Also the consumer reviews of the app and the benefits built around it have been highly praising.
A core element in the app is the innovative Storebox technology, which is used to store a card number in a protected environment and to deliver the customer identification and allocation of loyalty benefits as an integrated part of a fluent payment experience when you in-store.
Asger Hattel, Group Executive Vice President and head of Merchants Services in Nets says: "The big players in retail are trending towards merchant specific apps which, unlike basic loyalty cards, offer an easy and personalized reach to consumers. In addition, they can easily be expanded with new functionalities like e-receipts, targeted offers to end consumers, great visualizations of bonus points earned, and much more. The Æ app is an example of how Nets can deliver embedded data solutions to complete the in-app user experience."
REMA 1000 CIO/CTO Petter Aamot Vangstein says: “We are very satisfied with Storebox and with the job performed by Storebox. With their solution, the user can use their preferred payment method as identification to make a seamless user experience.”
Storebox is owned by Nets and is among the leading Nordic vendors of digital receipt solutions with offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
