The legal merger of the leading Swiss payment terminal provider CCV Schweiz SA with Concardis Schweiz AG by the Nets Group, one of the leading payment service providers in Europe, has been completed. As of 30 June 2021, the two companies will continue to operate under the Nets brand as Nets Schweiz AG. The merger was originally announced in October last year.
"By merging Concardis and CCV to form Nets Schweiz AG, we have created very good conditions for further growth and the expansion of our presence in Switzerland. In this way, we are supporting the expansion of the Nets Group in European high-growth regions," says Marianne Bregenzer, Country Director Nets Schweiz AG. "With our expanded service portfolio, we will now become a one-stop-shop for merchants and service providers in Switzerland in demand for payment solutions. This ranges from card acceptance in e-commerce or at the point of sale, to card terminals and related services, to cash register integration, customer loyalty and shopping card systems. Thanks to our many years of experience and local roots in Switzerland, we offer market-specific customer service. And through our European network along the entire payment value chain, we can support merchants and service providers, not least across national borders in Europe to achieve their business goals faster."
Nets Group is already the leading payment provider in the Nordic countries and has strategically expanded its position in Europe with acquisitions in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland in recent years. As from 1 July 2021, the merger of Nets Group with the Italian PayTech leader Nexi is expected to become effective and the journey to becoming the leading PayTech in Europe will be continued together.
The rebranding to Nets Schweiz AG has already been implemented with the successful legal merger. The web presence of CCV and Concardis in Switzerland will be integrated into the Nets Group website.
