As part of the agreement Danske Bank commits to continue the issuing and development of Dankort which is the domestic card scheme in Denmark. Additionally, Danske Bank and Nets will examine how they can develop the Danish payment infrastructure together, thereby continuing to deliver new, innovative and user-friendly payment solutions to merchant and end users of payment services in Denmark.
“With the agreement, we continue our good cooperation with Nets – both in terms of Dankort and developing the future of the Danish payment infrastructure. In addition, Nets will continue to process all of Danske Bank’s card payments in the Nordics,” says Frederik Gjessing Vinten, Head of Group Development at Danske Bank.
“We are pleased that the largest bank in Denmark has decided to continue issuing Dankort as we know it today and to process their Nordic card transactions via Nets for the coming five years,” says Thomas Jul, Head of Financial and Network Services in Nets.
