Let your foreign customers pay in their own currency

What is DCC?

DCC is a solution for currency conversion at the time of the transaction. Foreign customers paying with Visa or Mastercard will be presented with the option of paying in their own currency or the local currency. When the customer choose to pay in their own currency, the payment is made, for a fee*, at a current exchange rate which is presented in the terminal. The exchange rate is delivered online by Nets and is updated several times a day.

All major currencies can be exchanged with DCC, such as NOK, DKK, SEK, USD and GBP. In total, Nets offers exchange of about 50 different currencies and when you activate DCC, all these currencies will be available for exchange.

Example of the commission: With EUR 1 million in card turnover on foreign cards, the maximum extra exchange commission will be 1%, i.e. EUR 10,000. If 70% of your foreign customers choose to accept DCC and pay in their own currency, in this case this means an additional revenue to you of approximately EUR 7 000. The commission is paid from Nets to you and all you need to do is activate DCC in your terminal. The rest is taken care of by the Nets.
