What is DCC?
DCC is a feature on your terminal that allows your foreign customers to choose to pay in their own currency instead of Danish kroner.
With DCC, you enable your foreign customers to see the exact amount in their own currency at the time of purchase and do not have to wait until the money is deducted to see the amount.

Why should I choose DCC?
With DCC, you can see the exact amount in your own currency at the time of purchase, without having to wait until the money is deducted to see it.
Additionally, DCC makes it easy for you to perform accurate travel reimbursements if you are a business traveller.
How do I choose to pay in my own currency?
It's easy to do on the terminal. When you pay, you can select the amount in your own currency on the display of the terminal.
Is it more expensive to pay in my own currency?
You don't need to worry about the exchange rate. If you've paid a higher rate than what you could get from your own bank, Nets offers a 150% reimbursement for the difference.
Additionally, you pay a small exchange fee to use DCC, which is included in the amount you pay.
How many customers choose DCC?
Approximately 25% of all foreign customers choose to pay in their own currency because it makes it easier for them to understand how much they are paying and therefore keep track of their spending while on vacation.
Do you profit from me choosing my own currency?
Yes, we get a small commission on the exchange fee when a customer chooses to pay in their own currency.
There will always be a fee when you exchange money, either here in the store or at your bank.
You can see the exchange fee on the terminal's display when you choose to pay in your own currency.
Nice to know about DCC
DCC is a solution for currency conversion at the time of the transaction. Foreign customers paying with Visa or Mastercard will be presented with the option of paying in their own currency or the local currency.
When the customer chooses to pay in their own currency, the payment is made, for a fee, at a current exchange rate which is presented in the terminal. The exchange rate is delivered online by Nets and is updated several times a day.
DCC is available for more than 50 different currencies, with the most common ones being: EUR, USD, CHF, GBP, JPY, SEK, NOK, DKK, AUD, CAD, PLN, ISK, CNY, and RUB.
Offering DCC to your customers doesn't cost you anything. When your customers choose to pay with their own currency, you earn a 1% commission on the transaction amount.
