Nets will be at Money20/20 Europe 2019

From a Nordic to a European payment player

Trust, reliability and digitisation are key words connoting one of the world’s most technologically advanced geographical regions with a payment infrastructure like no other: the Nordic region where new digital products and solutions are quickly embraced and integrated into daily life. Key parts of this modern reality are fast payments and a variety of public digital services. As the only European player represented across the entire payment value chain and being fully agnostic to payments methods, Nets has played an important role in this development, shaping a digital mindset through innovative, secure and stable solutions.

Last year at Money2020 Europe, Nets announced its intention to merge with Concardis Payment Group, a leading merchant payment provider in the German-speaking part of Europe, to further drive the European expansion of the combined group.

This year, Bo Nilsson, CEO of Nets Group, and Robert Hoffmann, CEO of Concardis, will join each other on stage for a talk on how you successfully merge two payment companies of that size, and lessons learned. When: Tuesday 4 June at 12:25 at the Commercial Galvanisation Stage.

Partnerships is the winning formula in tomorrow’s payment industry

Fireside chat with Charlotte Hogg, CEO of VISA Europe, and Bo Nilsson, CEO of Nets Group

There are many things to be excited about in our industry as the world is becoming more integrated, more digital and developing more exponentially. Companies are on a digital transformation journey driven by customer behaviour and the demand for an ever better digital experience. New ways of paying become even swifter and easier, enabling better consumer experiences and making it easier for companies to handle transactions.
Not only consumers, but also companies are making new demands on seamless cross-border B2B payments, invoice handling and digitisation. As business activities expand regionally and globally, they increasingly demand seamless and cost-effective B2B payments. This requires innovation, new solutions and partnerships to be able to execute on it. There is a need for a new view on partnerships to leverage opportunities – to indeed view partnerships as opportunities instead of as a loss of control. History has taught us that the end-consumer decides. Differentiated - and the right - customer and product propositions are vital for payments companies to succeed, and no player, however big or strong, is strong enough to go it alone without any strategic alliances or partnerships
