BS Mandate API

​The Betalingsservice Mandate API enables you to send mandate requests for customer (the debtor) approval in the BS App.





​With BS Mandate API, you can offer your customers easier and faster on-boarding to Betalingsservice(direct debit) when purchasing goods or services through your web shop, call center or face-to-face.


The business benefits of Betalingsservice are lower churn, fewer bill reminders and fewer customer calls.


This API is intended for Creditors or Merchants wanting a Betalingsservice Mandate with a customer. Authentication and approval by your customer take place within Betalingsservice App.

You will be able to push a mandate Request to the BS app (other channels will be available in the future), select a payment account and offer a PSD2 SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) compliant authentication.


​Use case

The API applies in scenarios where you need a solution, that enables your customers to approve and authenticate  SCA through their mobile device (something they have) with either a mobile code (something they know) or biometrics (something they are).

When a mandate Request has been approved by your customer, you will at any point be able to check the status of your mandate using get status of manadate request. Alternatively, use the callback.

​Use case scenario:

John X agrees with Charity organisation x (NGO) to make a monthly donation of 150 DKK. Charity organisation (NGO) fundraiser sends a mandate request to John X from their CRM system. John X is notified about the pending notification by the BS app, he opens the app and approves the mandate request. When John X has approved the mandate request Charity organisation (NGO) gets an instant call-back with a status update.     ​
