Imagery

When working with Nets imagery, there are three categories of pictures:

  • Aerial pictures that focus on cities and landscapes seen from a far
  • Lifestyle pictures that focus on people, lifestyles and daily interactions
  • Product pictures that show products in their natural environment

Please note: when taking stills on a photoshoot, remember to take both horizontal and vertical formats.

Aerial pictures - dos and don'ts

Do
This category contains pictures of landscapes and cities seen from above or from a far, giving the viewer a bigger perspective. The pictures must not be too busy to look at and should have some ‘calm’ areas that give space for text and graphics.

Don’t
Avoid extremely busy pictures, such as fast-paced cities with too many bright colours and too many situations occuring at once.

Lifestyle pictures - dos and don’ts

Do
This category contains pictures capturing ordinary, everyday life in public spaces or in private. It focuses on people, liftestyles and daily interactions. People in the pictures must be authentic, natural and situated in their natural environments.

Please note When taking stills on a photoshoot, remember to take both horizontal and vertical formats.

Don’t
Avoid pictures that seem staged where people look unnatural and seem to be in unnatural situations and environments. People in the pictures should not look as if they are actors playing a part, but look as if they are ‘real’ people in real-life situations.

Product environment pictures

Do
This category contains pictures of products in their natural environment. It focuses on showing the product in use and people’s interaction with it. The product can be seen up close or further away to show more of the surrounding environment.

Please note When taking stills on a photoshoot, remember to take both horizontal and vertical formats.

Overall look and feel in the pictures

Look, location and tonality
The overall look and feel is authentic and natural. The locations, situations and people look genuine and not staged. The pictures are kept calm to give space to text and graphics. The tones in the pictures are warm, but there are also blueish tones to create contrast, giving the pictures a smooth and inviting feel and to match the Nets colours.

Please note When taking stills on a photoshoot, remember to take both horizontal and vertical formats.
