Louise Studstrup Muurholm: Corporate Legal Advisor, Corporate Affairs
Louise wants challenges – and lots of them, please.
– In my former job, I was responsible for aligning and adjusting national company law to coincide with EU company law. It could literally take years before you saw the results of your hard work. And sometimes you didn’t. If politicians changed their minds, or some special case came up, a lot of hard work could be wasted because the focus changed overnight. It was a very interesting job, but it could also be very frustrating …
So you decided to work at Nets instead?
– If we encounter a challenge, we meet, discuss our options and then we act!
– Well, actually I didn’t know anything about Nets; I just saw a job description with my name written all over it. I applied for the job and here I am! One of the things I noticed when I started was that, every time I spoke to a colleague, the person seemed to have been working at Nets for many years. This includes younger people like me, who usually change jobs fairly often. After a while, I found out that this is because Nets has a tradition and culture, and of course a certain size, that makes it easy to stay when your interests change and your skills develop. As a relatively young person, this is very important to me.
What is the main difference between your old and your new job?
– Oh, that’s an easy one. It’s definitely the speed of processes and decisions. If we encounter a challenge, we meet, discuss our options and then we act! No matter whether it’s planning and arranging an extraordinary general meeting or defining and overcoming the challenges of a change in our internal setup. Bearing in mind that Nets is the umbrella for almost 30 companies, there are always new interesting challenges in Corporate Affairs. And, from my perspective, that’s as good as it gets.
